Pocket Shop UK

PRESS RELEASE

Pocket Shop are happy to announce the opening of their first UK shop at Birmingham Airport, mid-July 2016. Soon to be followed by, at least, two more shops in other UK travel locations during this year.

Pocket Shop is one of Sweden’s leading booksellers with 25 shops, primarily in travel locations, in Sweden, Finland and Germany.

Established as an independent bookseller in Sweden in 1989, Pocket Shop now grows on new markets, maintaining a vision of giving everybody the opportunity to own and experience books.

We look forward to introducing Pocket Shop in the UK, says CEO, Anna Borné Minberger. We will do our best to inspire British readers on the move to find the books they want – and a few more they simply cannot resist!

”Pocket Shop is one of our most important partners, and one of the nicest to work with. Everything works smoothly; from negotiations and agreements to buying and title campaigns. In the history of Printz Publishing, Pocket Shop has been incredibly important – they have helped us create bestsellers like, for example, David Nicholls’ ”One Day”. Few booksellers are as passionate when it comes to lifting titles they believe in as Pocket Shop. Apart from this, they are also hard to beat when it comes to their knowledgeable and nice staff in the shops – if you want to be sure of getting good book recommendations you should go to Pocket Shop.”
Pia Printz, CEO of Printz Publishing, Sweden

“I love the mix of titles available at the Pocket Shop stores and their friendly and helpful staff. The personal recommendations are compelling, interesting and well-presented and I enjoy browsing the mix of frontlist bestsellers, backlist classics and quirky personal choices that make up the selection on offer.  Pocket Shop are a pleasure to work with and a pleasure to buy from as a reader.”
